Shelf Shifter (Ohio State Winter Market)

We started our project by researching for another team and analyzing porches along select roads
Here we found aspects that we contributed to the an inviting porch through the analysis
Here are the actionable insights we then passed off to the other team and their project they created from our insights
Here are the insights and research we collected from the same team that we then used for ideating our project.
through the other team's research we ideated and one that we came up with was this light shade made of reclaimed bowls that would be punchable and direct light where one wants
Our other idea started as some type of shelf that could be arranged how ever you want
We then after prototyping discovered what we wanted to make and developed a market analysis to understand where it would best fit in comparison to others similar to it
We started by milling down reclaimed wood to make the shelf pieces. 30 shelf platforms and 200 planks.
We started clamping piece by piece. Then we made a jig to be able to glue an entire side. Then we cut the jig in half and added a spacer in the middle so that we could glue entire shelf at once.
We then created the shelf's logo and slogan, along with the poster for our display
Here our the photos from one of our ten copies of the final Shelf Shifter
